&spades Brief Look Description: He's tall and slender, with a willowy form. He's stronger than he looks. Rui has a charming and disarming smile, a handsome face and smooth tawny skin. He has two piercings in his left ear.

&spades Personality: Rui presents people with a cool demeanor and no real feeling. He calculates and studies, making decisions based on what is best for him usually.

Inwardly, his emotions rage like a hurricane, making him forever divided against himself. When someone is able to get close enough that he lets them in, they find him to be slightly moody with a streak of dark that could make him very dangerous indeed. He is powerful and he knows it, but always being in conflict with himself makes him slightly unstable and it prevents him from reaching his full potential on either side of the spectrum: good or bad.

&spades Short Bio: Rui was raised in Japan, trained in both Japanese and American customs and language. He speaks English, Japanese, and French. He was reared to be able to lord over the Nightworld wherever he was. Thus, he only has a mild accent when speaking, and was raised to be superior. When his parents decided to send him away at age 12 to America, he was angry. They had trained him in the arts of their witchery, but not in his own craft. On the plane to America, his violent emotions cause a large storm to surround the plane, sending it down. He only lived because he bundled himself in a little air pocket of protection by instinct. No one else was so lucky.

The effort of staying alive during the crash put him in the hospital for a week, but he slowly learned to manipulate the air around him to do his bidding. He started to remember his previous life as Air and his hatred of Fire. He still has no real recollection of Earth or Water, however he knows that he's missing something still.

Air is the master of all wind forces. He can innately move things with his mind. He can call any weather with wind, however he cannot control all of the forces. Example: He can call a thunder storm, but cannot control where lightening strikes, though he can try to aim by moving the clouds. His control over the weather can't be used for extended periods without exhausting him, but he has found that he can do everything he needs to do in short bursts that only cause him to feel slightly drained. Air also has the ability to mask his appearance with the air, making himself look like someone else. This power is less easy to control and leaves him terribly exhausted and causes nose bleeds each time he uses it, so he only uses the ability in dire situations. His most deadly ability is the ability to suck all the oxygen out of a person, suffocating them. He can use this power more often than not, but doesn't feel the urge unless he's in a rage, and even then, something usually holds him back. If he kills the person, he feels as if someone is taking his air as well.
