Name: Mostly, Ombra; occasionally, Hecate; Sybil; Selene; Nox; Nyx, named for her realm;
Age: Depends
Birthday or Birthday Season: Winter Equinox
Species (or Old Power claim): Dark
Height: Depends
Hair Color: Pale and luminous silver-blonde;
Eye Color: Depends: fey eyes; either pale, wintry gray ringed in black or plain ol' blacker than black
Brief Look Description: Depends.
Personality: Depends. You think you've got Ombra figured out, and then you don't; she's changeable. However! Essentially: stubborn; thoughtful; wistful; cruel; mercurial; malicious; mischievous; manipulative
Short Bio: The gentle childhood; the early years. Big moment: The Council thought, hey, here's an Old Power who not only knows every single damned one of our dark secrets, but might be inclined to tell some of them; let's do something about that. Let's get her over on our side and she can be sort've like our spy. What followed: a very botched attempt to bind Dark. She was never, not even once, sent to the Shadow Towers as punishment. And not because she was very good, either.
At some point she met the guy who'd become one of her Most Trusted and also Most Brutal lieutenants, a shapechanger; wolven, moon-cursed, but not exactly cleaving to one shape; she'll experiment with other dark darkdarkdark things.
Known: she and Lucient must've hooked up at least once; there's a child. At least one. Things get foggy, misty.
After Tragedy and Disaster Struck, Dark was forced to abandon her neutrality in order to UTTERLY CRUSH Lucient. They'd fought before, because that just happens; they'd even fought scarily-to-others before, but this time was different. Not least 'cause he killed her. The world was already in ruins; she ruined it more; ran wild with her (whyyes!) ARMY OF DARKNESS. This was a period of badassery.
Other things happened. It was a life, after all, even if it ended too soon.
Social Connections: Various and sundry
Model: Ask Mosaic. Whoever she's using at the moment. Jessica Stam and Gemma Ward, I think.
Optional Info-
Likes: LOTS of stuff; passion; games; witchery, especially; creating new spells; running wild in the dark; tricks; people; secrets; masks; mysteries; riddles; the sea; fire; moonlight; the stars; owls; crows; dancing; singing; loyalty; disloyalty; fucking with people's heads; solitude; night time; hunting
Dislikes: The way the other Old Powers behave toward their parents; their parents; the truth; having things plainly said; people who don't believe in love; weakness; lack of ambition; imbalance; the council; stupid people
Quotes:
"Do you want Power? Do you want to be Power?"
"Did I hurt you?"
Anything else you'd like to add:
The sort've people who're attracted to Dark's banner/realm are the sort've people you'd expect; those who're outcast or criminals elsewhere have always been welcome at her court; it's not as if they're offered TOO much protection. Lots of secret cults; it's hard to know just who is a devotee of Dark's. Vampires and night-orientated shapeshifters, the darker, more ambitious/less moral witches, the liars, manipulators, power-hungry folks -- hi. S'not just them, though; Dark was, again, pretty gentle, or at least tried to seem pretty diplomatic. Was neutral until the very end, and even then she didn't take a side -- she just made a new one, that was her own. Not evil.
Old Power Info-
Power: All that Beatrix has and a LOT more -- depending on the time, yeah, but Old Powerness came SUPER easy for Ombra, even for an Old Power. She never really needed lessons, at least -- it seemed as if she never really needed them. She was always able to create new (although often very, very bad; they went straight onto the "forbidden" list) spells with almost effortless ease. Inspired, baby.
Abilities and Limitations: The coucil did manage to curse her; also, for most of her life, she was essentially human. Not for the end, though; the end she'd been spellified and beefed up and was well on her way to immortal badassery.
Working Stones (gemstones to which they favor): Hematite, moonstone, labradorite, onyx.
