Bridget sat down on the grass out the front of the school. She was there about an hour early. That was something that never happened. Usually she spent her nights searching for the other Old Powers, and that left her sleeping through her alarm and missing first period. Not that she cared. Old Powers were above secondary education.
But she had taken a break last night, and when she went to sleep, she fell into a dream. One that vividly relived her beloved killing her in her past life. The memories were so fresh that when Bridget woke up she could almost feel the attacks on her body. And she burst into tears. That in itself was something that terrified her. Bridget Cecelia Pyre never cried. Not the whole sobbing, trembling, shuddering deal.
The Fire Power woke up at five am. After deliberating for an hour - taking a very long shower, taking her time to get dressed and put on her face, and have a marathon breakfast, Bridget left the house at seven. She couldn't stand being in that house with her father. Not with the memories of her dream - of her past life - so clear in her mind. And not with those cold silences.
So, there she now was. Sitting alone, having a mental debate with herself. Did she really want to go out and search for those people that she had bumped into the other night? After all they had done to her? Ugh, what was she thinking? Of course, she did. It was time to take karma into her own hands here.

((Hope you don't mind if I jump in... )) Lily wasn't usually the type to get to school early. Every one of her classes she arrived to just as the bell rang, and she was usually not the social type. It was mostly because she didn't do well in large crowds, all the people and thoughts and locked away from anything natural. But also simply because she'd always felt out of place, especially in school. She wasn't like them.
But today had been a different story. She'd spent the night fretting about the park incidents, and then after meeting Tsukasa on the way home... She had been too high-strung to sleep. It also didn't help that seeing Fire and Air had made her remember just what had happened in the past life. The fighting- over what she never had understood- and then dying. Dying had been painful. She could still remember each moment of pain as if it had just happened moments before.
Heaving a sigh, Lily pulled her hood lower over her face, crossing the street to the building. There weren't many around this time of morning, and of that she was glad. It would give her time to prepare herself, and maybe, just maybe, she'd remain just as invisible as she always was and could have a nice nap in her classes.

ooc;; haha, no definitely. jumping in is a good thing.Bridget's fingers toyed with the blades of grass below her hands. She leant back slightly, resting her weight on her arms propped up behind her. She hadn't even gotten their names. They were just Earth and Air, to her. Bridget needed to know their names, all their names. It would be the only way to find them. The only way to destroy them.
Very few students were arriving this early in the morning. Bridget found herself studying each one, as if she was waiting for someone in particular. And then her eyes caught someone acting strangely. Bridget didn't find her familiar, she only noticed the oddity of a teenage girl walking as if she were hiding her face. Trying to evade being recognised. But Bridget could see anything more than her slim figure and nondescript clothing from this distance. She kept her sharp hazel eyes on the girl, not quite sure of what to make of her.

Lily wasn't sure why she always did this; walk to school with her hood up and her book bag practically cradled to her chest. Guess it was just because she was leaving one evil place for another, and didn't want anything to happen upon her on the trip. Nor did she feel like socializing with people who's biggest worries were if they looked fat or if they're semi-boyfriend was cheating on them. Now those thoughts were a headache right there.
Inwardly groaning, she found a seat beneath an old tree. She always waited as long as she could before going in, and she was always outside in between classes. Being trapped in a huge building, surrounded by screaming teenagers, and nothing natural for eight hours a day was not something her body could really handle.
Lily set her bag off to the side, and leaned her head back against the tree, letting her eyes drift shut. She was weird, she supposed. Usually she had the worst time sitting still, but you stick her with a tree and outside, and she would calm down and sit like that for hours, unaware of the world around her.

The brunette strode over to the school and sat down a fair distance from Bridget. She leant back against the tree, the edge of her hood slipping from her face. Bridget could see the point of her nose from this distance and that her eyes were closed.
Bridget's amber eyes shifted away from the girl. She could have been anyone. Just because she had brown hair and a similar skin tone to the girl whom Earth now was, that didn't mean this student was Earth. How many girls were there in Vegas with dark brown hair? There must have been thousands. ooc;; sorry about the terribly crappy post, i seriously have no idea how to pull this into something more

((OOC: It's cool. My posts will probably be pretty crappy right now. I've had no sleep and it's 7 am here now... I'm pretty much delirious. Lol. )) Lily yawned loudly, exhausted. After a night with no sleep, she was just about ready to hit the ground and pass out. She'd had a pot of coffee before heading for school, but that had hardly done the trick. And IV of the stuff would have been better. Shame.
Her eyes burned, and she was sure they were red from tiredness. Her hand lifted slowly and rubbed at her eyes, trying to will herself into a less delirious state. No use. With a frustrated groan, she swiped her hood back and stared up into the just barely risen sun. It burned her eyes to stare into the fiery orb, but it did more to wake her up than coffee had. She tried to pull some energy from the earth, anything for just a bit more functionality. She was so tired that she didn't notice her surroundings, the people around her. She didn't care. She was tired, a little cranky, and had no mind for anything at the moment.

A car pulled up in the carpark and two similar looking boys alighted. As soon as they were in range, they're eyes crossed to Bridget and they smiled appreciatively. They must have been young. The Fire witch felt smoke building up within her and pushed it down. She knew that there was nothing she could do from this distance, and she didn't much care to do anything that morning. That dream had truly drained her.
The girl yawned and Bridget's attention snapped back to her. The hood was no completely gone and Bridget knew she had been right. It was Earth. It was the girl that Earth took for of in this day and age. The smoke disippated completely, replaced by fire. Warmth spread to her fingers in a spark of elation at finding the girl and anger that always came with thinking about her fellow Old Powers. She knew that her eyes were now glowing a bright yellow, as they always did when she felt her power rising within her.

OOC: I feel a fight coming on.... o.O Yay! Why did Lily suddenly feel very uncomfortable? Even through her sleep-fogged mind she just had this odd feeling that something bad was about to happen. And then she distinctly heard her old name in someone's thoughts.
Her head snapped up and she looked around with wide eyes, and saw two boys in a car. Meh. Not them. And then looked over to the steps and froze. Oh.... crap. This wasn't good. She'd been hunted down? Or... No. She couldn't have gone to school with her all this time?! Was she that obllivious?! Lily swore under her breath. This was just lucky wasn't it? Fire hated her, for reasons unknown to Lily. And Lily hated Fire, because Fire had killed her. This wasn't good. Not good at all.

It wasn't often that Rui stooped to grace the school with his presence. It wasn't as if he needed to. Today, however, he had been too distracted to tell his driver that they weren't heading toward the school. The driver made a try for it every day. He just couldn't figure out why seeing Lily and Xerxes together made him so very very angry. So, here he was, stepping gracefully from his black town car with a small kitten hidden in his messenger bag and a cool look on his face.
The first thing he saw was Lily. Leaning against a tree with a surprised expression on her face. But she wasn't looking at him, and his eyes slowly followed hers to the other girl - fire.
Before he could stop himself, he was taking a step forward. Fire's eyes were glowing, which could only mean one thing- "NO!" he bellowed forcefully, coming between the two of them in three quick and very large steps, his back to Lily.
Why was he reacting like this? Why did it feel so familiar? Why did he feel the need to get in the way this time? Wait...this time? No...This had happened before..In front of him...and it had ended..No....
Rui gripped his head as the memories came crashing back to him. It took mere seconds and when it was done, his head rose slowly, shocked eyes glowing a cloudy grey. Landing on Fire's eyes, his own eyes narrowed, and what could only be described as a scream of pain mixed with a battle cry was torn from his lips.
He felt his power push from him, tearing through the air. Within seconds, no less than fifty tornadoes were spiraling toward the Earth, and in his state, Rui couldn't notice or care. Somewhere in the back of his mind, he was slightly aware of five pin pricks in his leg which originated from his bag, but it wasn't important enough to think about. All he knew was that his mind was not the Air of today. It was the Air of the past, and Fire had to die.
So I'm figuring that Xerxes and Lily had their date, Rui got irritated with something nagging at his mind and a possessiveness he didn't understand and here we are.

ooc;; tehe, nice timing.Earth's eyes locked onto Bridget's and the latter's golden eyes narrowed the very slightest. She couldn't do anything here. There were too many silly little humans around to ensure a clean attack. But before Bridget could make the slightest move, a boy appeared. It seemed he had come from the car park, and all of a sudden his eyes were blazing too.
Bridget felt a sudden jolt. It was Air. Her Air. And it truly was him, for a moment. Cold, calculating and vengeful. But with it came winds of destruction. The sky filled with darkness and Bridget became very aware that a dozen or so students were staring at the sky in amazement and fear.
Not that she cared for the humans, but the Night World would have their asses if they did anything more than this little show of power. That was why Bridget closed her eyes. Yearning, lust, love, anger and pure hatred rose within her and every one of those emotions triggered her fire alone. Combined, she felt her skin burn and her eyes flash hot with bright topaz. Clenching her jaw and her fists, Bridget forced the power down, promising herself that she would burn something big later on to make up for it.
A boy glanced at the three Old Powers in curiousity. He must have wondered why they were the only ones who weren't watching the rapidly changing skies.
"Watch yourself," Bridget hissed at Air. Her fingers tingled in warmth and she knew that if she touched anything now it would blaze with embers. But, for now, her power was under control. Just. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

ooc; ehehehe. This is awesome! Just had to say that. Lily registered Air just moments before the tornadoes began to form. Oh, god. Oh, god. Not AGAIN. She didn't know what had caused such a fierce reaction. He didn't remember... or did he? Tearing her eyes away from Fire, she stared at Rui, who looked very much like Air back then. Cold, cruel, and absolutely raging mad.
And then she did a very stupid thing. She threw herself up from the ground and rushed at him. She didn't car what Fire would do in that instant. She just knew that only bad things could happen from them showing off their powers. They would be exposed, and then there was the Nightworld. And tornadoes DESTROYED the earth! There was too much damage that could happen. She grabbed him by the shoulders and with surprising strength she forced him to turn toward her and then shook him, yelling a worried, "Snap out of it, Rui- AIR!!"

"I killed you once..." Rui warned, leaving the threat unfinished. All present knew what had occurred the last time that Fire had clashed with Air. After all, fire needed air to burn....
Air's attention snapped to Earth in front of him, and he smiled, "It is good to see you again, sister," he drawled, the voice leaving him was very different than his own. This was Air's voice. The tornadoes didn't dissipate, but they didn't touch down either. No, they remained in the sky as a warning of what Air would do to Fire if she even threatened Earth. Rui still had not returned to himself. The Air of old who was him and wasn't ruled his body. Air wrapped his arms around Earth's waist, pulling her close. He would not let Fire get her this time.
From Rui's bag a little kitty thought to himself /This is what comes from great power. Ego. They all think that they're all powerful../

Bridget's eyes narrowed at the threat in Air's voice. She didn't like being threatened. Her eyes blazed again and she felt the beginnings of a shot of fire appear in her hand.
And then he put her arm around her. As if they belonged together. Bridget sneered, the fire in her hand expanded tenfold. The seemingly normal public display of affection meant so much more. The skies roamed with darkness and Bridget glanced up. No. If she made a move, Air would strike. And then what? And then they would be exposed. Or she would be dead. Both were unacceptable.
Bridget clenched her fist, and the tendrils of fire that were entwined around her fingers disappeared. She took in a deep breath, allowing the cold air to disperse all the fire and smoke within her. She felt her eyes cool down. They were back to their normal amber-hazel now. She took a step forward, trying to seem less than antagonistic.
"Have you met Water, yet?" Bridget's voice had melted in a soft lilt. A tone that was more persuasive. The only way for her to beat both Air and Earth was to get Water on her side. And that might have been harder than she thought.

Lily's eyes widened marginally, shocked how much memory had taken control of Rui. The widened eyes were quite the contrast to the stubborn purse to her lips. It was an odd look that only someone like Lily would wind up pulling out to express conflicting emotions. She'd never been good at masking her emotions like Fire and Air.
She did not remove her hands from his shoulders, even though she knew a good hard shake wouldn't do any good now. Her head titled back briefly to take note that the tornadoes did not touch down, but the storm was still an awe-inspiring sight. And then there was fire, who so easily called her element. Both could do damage to each other, just the same as last time. But at least one of them wasn't going to make the same mistake twice. Lily had no intention of just sitting back and letting them kill each other again. And she certainly wasn't going to let herself get killed if she could help it.
Nor was she going to say a word about Water, er, Domyouji. Domyouji was an unknown player still, and while Lily was usually a very honest person, she was keeping her mouth shut on this one. She wouldn't make it easier for Fire to sink her claws into him.
So instead, she said, with her lips still in a tight frown, "I wouldn't come any closer if I were you." She didn't say it like it was a threat, merely a warning as to what could happen. "In case you haven't noticed, he's just remembered, and we both should know how it is when that first happens. Exposure is the least of our worries- we all know we're powerful enough to bypass Nightworld laws. But I think getting blown to bits by a tornado might be a bit of a pressing matter."
Lily, unfortunately still held quite a bit of Earth's personality traits. Always trying to look to be diplomatic, for instance, which had never done any good in the past. Just made things worse because she'd been so clueless as to what was really going on.
And then there was always the worrying and fussing over Air... which no doubt would make things worse. Because that was her ulterior motive. Settle this sooner, because the more power he used the more it was going to kick him in the butt later.

Still glaring at Fire, Air backed Earth behind him, motioning to the car. It was best to get away from this now..so they could be together. The tornadoes stood sentry to their moving forms, allowing a relatively safe getaway.
"This. Is not over." Air hissed, sending his voice on the wind so that it bombarded Fire as if a thousand windy voices were speaking here and there.
In the car, he said, "Drive. Home." to the worried driver, and the Air of Old dissipated. As his mind returned to the forefront of his mind, Rui took a moment for confusion before letting out a cry of pain as all his muscles seized at once. The spasms only lasted maybe half a minute, but that was enough to knock him out cold. A moment before he passed out, Rui accidentally knocked off Xerxes' collar as the little kitten tried to comfort him.
"We need to get him home. Now. Drive faster." Xerxes said to the driver, trading his usual joking manner for a more serious one. Rui did not look good. He'd gone cloud-pale and he seemed to be picking up a fever.
