“Not particularly” Laurel grunted, taking another sip of her orange juice “it’s like calling you bloodsucker or leech… Actually, you might laugh at that.”
At his next comment Laurel raised her head, glared and let out a low grumble which could have been directed at Liam or just at the world in general “Laurel, Laurel Quincey.”

"What was that? Lauren?" Liam teased, still feigning innocence. He was just trying to push her buttons. "You could call me leech. I don't really care, but you'd have to deal with consequences of me acting like a leech. I could just attach myself to you by the neck for the rest of your life. Makes no difference to me. I can multi task."

“Laurel” Laurel corrected in a irritated voice, sparing him a brief, frustrated glance that she hoped conveyed that she knew that he knew her name and that she’d thank him to stop trying to mess with her head.
Of course his next words had her glancing up sharply again and then she blushed and muttered “I knew I’d been spending too much time around Faye and Suzan…”
She definitely was seventeen, even if her looks were often nowhere near that age.

"What? Did I say it wrong?" Liam asked, no longer hiding his grin. "Would you rather it not be your neck I attach myself to? Either way, you're stuck with me. May as well get used to it, since it's highly unlikely I'll change."
He glanced down briefly, to fix the cuff of his shirt, and that was when something awful happen. The alarm sounded. A wailing, painfully loud alarm, with flashing lights and all. And then almost instantly after, metal covers dropped down over the windows and all the points of exit.
Liam took a deep breath as his intercom went off, stating that someone had rebelled and all the prisoners were loose, killing off his men. He took another deep breath, and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Of course." was all he said before slowly raising from his desk. His eyes were hard, no hint of amusement in them anymore. They were cold eyes, which clearly said 'I'm going to kill every thing in here, I'm so angry.'
He turned those eyes on Laurel. "Stay here," he snapped, before throwing open the door to his office and looking out to the crowd below.
The only thing to describe it: Pure chaos. Pure, bloody, chaos.
Of course.

“You might, and I’ll-“ Laurel was stopped by the alarm, winced a little, jumped at the blinds going down and almost immediately jumped to her feet, just managing to catch the glass of orange juice before it toppled all over the floor.
“What’s going on?” She asked, glancing around franticly for a moment before she took a deep breathed and stood up on the tips of her toes to try and see what exactly was going on…
She blinked, blinked again and then cast a moody glare at Liam’s back and lowered back down onto her whole foot.
She was far too smart to distract him when her life was in possible danger… She still couldn’t help muttering a few choice words under her breath though...
Most of them ran along the lines of “First kidnap and now madmen breaking loose…”

Liam quickly shut out her words, cut off any thoughts other than those that would have him killing anyone within his path. Rebel in his domain? Around HIS soulmate? Ha! He didn't think so!
A shapeshifter came running up the stairs, stake in hand. Liam calmly continued towards him, and as the stake was raised he grabbed the shifter's arm and broke the bone cleanly in half. Then reached up with his free hand and ripped the sucker's throat out. Bloodshed was nothing new to Liam. It was something he was good at. 30 to 1 was an nice odd, in his opinion.
Each prisoner, each rebel that came at him met a similar fate, for he was completely focused on the fight, and much stronger than any of them. Of course, once the chaos below had been settled, he turned only to see Helena, the woman who'd been hanging from the ceiling, running for his office. Liam stilled, his eyes flaring at a sudden, unexpected wave of anger. Oh he was going to kill her. Rip her limb from limb for being so blasted reckless. For even thinking of going there. If she touched a hair on the witchlet's head....
It was with murder in his thoughts, and a twisted sense of protection, that he scaled the iron bars along the walls of the warehouse, the quickest route to his office.

Laurel watched with wide eyes as Liam stomped forward and started to... Well, Slaughter the guards.
Yes, her soulmate was definitely completely insane... Joy.
She was much too smart to even think of stepping outside (Except of course to edge very quickly outwards and grab the dropped stake, while trying very hard not to look at the felled man), Instead she just sat down, held the stake very protectively in front of her and took several very deep breaths.
It was just her, the stake and that woman called Helena at the door... Wait a second.
Laurel bounced to her feet very quickly, and started backing away with the stake held out in front of her, eventually though she bumped into the desk and had to stop and hold the pointed end of the stake out and look as menacing as was possible.
Of course it was wood, which made her odds just a little bit better then a normal humans... But then again, there was a very fast vampire against the stake and she was very small.
So Laurel could only stand very nervously while trying to scream for Liam to come and help her with this.
Hey, he had handled the man quickly enough.

It was common knowledge that Liam was an angry, slightly unhinged individual, but even Liam had to admit that even though he hardly knew his soulmate, seeing her threatened was something that angered him even more. Of the little civility that he had, the little composure he often used to restrain his more savage way of dealing with things, Helena had firmly killed it all the moment she'd stepped into his office. He was going to kill her. Slowly. Painfully. He'd make her pay.
Silently, as stealthy as a natural-born predator he threw himself over the railing of the stairway, only to land in a defensive crouch. His eyes did not leave Helena's back once as he stalked up behind her. He could sense Laurel's fear in the office; Helena's triumph at thinking she'd gotten the best of him. How mistaken she was.
Helena took a step into the office, her eyes glinting in what was sure to be thoughts of how to kill Laurel. Liam followed, mirroring each movement she made, keeping just out of line of their sights. And when she made a slight motion as if to lunge at Laurel, deciding it best to just go in for the kill, Liam was faster. His movements were smoother, more practiced, calm. But though the hand that had sudden wrapped around her neck was seemingly calm, it was the fury etched into his expression that had Helena frozen.
Liam didn't think he'd ever been this angry before, so angry that blood was pounding behind his ears, and all he had focus for was to kill the person in front of him. Make them hurt. This wasn't for fun, like his usual kills, this was out of pure rage. And he could tell Helena could see it, that he wasn't going to make this quick for her at all. She'd been stupid to threaten Laurel. Time to learn some lessons.

Laurel stabbed the stake out very fast but before it could impact (she doubted that it would've anyway) Liam had taken care of it and was holding Helena back from her.
The sudden urge to throw her arms around her soulmate was rather disconcerting to say the least.
But of course he was still holding a slightly mad vampire.. And he looked slightly mad as well, so it was naturally the best thing to stand back a little and... Probably turn her face away, she had no doubt that Helena's fate would not be all that pretty.
Funny how she still felt slightly sorry for her even after the whole attempted murder thing.
But anyway, Laurel kept the stake in her hand and edged along the desk until she was fairly far away from both Helena and Liam... And then she couldn't help the relieved sigh, she wasn't quite ready to die yet.

Liam didn't take his eyes off Helena, not even as he threw her and she crashed into the wall. "Laurel, get under the desk," he growled, stalking towards the vampire woman who was already preparing to lunge again. "Do not look no matter what you hear." He didn't wait for her to follow his orders, instead side-stepping Helena as she threw herself at him. Twirling around, his coat flaring out dramatically behind him, he fisted his hand in her hair and slammed her face down into the corner of the desk. He pulled her head back sharply, ready to repeat the action, only for Helena to swing her arm back and claw him in the face. Hissing in pain, he sent an undercut into her stomach, but she didn't even buckle. "Fine, you want to play dirty, Helena?" A low rumbling chuckle followed his challenge, and even though he was bleeding, he gave her a devilish grin. "We can play, alright." "I'd rather play with your girlfriend," Helena snapped, trying to get a few punches in. "Play with her entrails, that is. You wouldn't mind, would you?" And he thought he was angry before. Her words only added fuel to the fire, caused his vision to turn red. "As a matter of fact, I do," was all he said before he ducted under another punch. He grabbed her extended arm, using it as leverage to send another undercut into her stomach. Only this time it was with an open hand. He put the force of his strength behind it and it was to Helena's shock that his hand went through her abdomen, only to wrap around her spinal cord. With a sharp tug, his hand was pulled from her abdomen. And her spine came with it. She hit the ground, unable to move, paralyzed by not dead. This wound wouldn't kill her, but she wouldn't be able to rebuild her spine. Eternity and paralyzed. Only fitting to the woman who threatened his soulmate. A fitting lesson. His grin never faded, and it was with a maddened glint in his eye that he tossed the spine off to the side. He leaned over her, watching as the only thing she could move was her eyes. Panicked, stricken eyes as she realized he would make her live like this. "A lesson for those who threaten what belongs to me," he snarled, before he grabbed her arm and dragged her out of his office. There he threw her over the railing, taking great pleasure when her limp body hit the ground with a resounding thud. "Leave her," he snapped at a guard who'd thought to put her back in her cell. "She won't do anymore harm. Let her be an example to those who think they can trifle with me and expect a quick death!" A vicious smirk upon his lips, he turned swiftly toward his office again, slamming the door behind him. Let his men clean up the mess; he'd done his part. "All right there, love?" ((Drama!Liam is dramatic. ))

Laurel very nearly stayed sanding up but at the last minute she decided that she really didn't want to see Helena's fate and scrambled under the desk, drawing her knees up to her chin and still holding onto the stake.
And then she tried extremely hard not to listen, except it was hard, especially when the rather dramatic rip and the thud occurred...
Okay, she definitely didn't want to know about Helena's fate.
Which was why when she scrambled out from under the desk and stood up at Liam's slightly calmer words she looked very cautious... Though Helena was gone, which was worrying.
"What did..." Laurel stopped, coughed and then nodded, barely aware of the stake still dangling in her hand "I'm okay, I'm fine."
Slightly shaken, yes... but she wasn't going to say that.

"Ah, well, then..." Liam trailed off, running a hand through his hair.
For a moment he just stared off into space, his anger fading, his expression blank. And then he grinned, jovially striding over to her and dropping an arm around her shoulders. No need to mention that he had yet wash the blood from his person.
"So, want to grab some dinner?" he said with a quirked eyebrow. He figured it would be best to be off the scene while things were being cleaned up. "After I grab myself a change of clothes. Blood all over the Armani. Despicable, really."

Laurel tilted her head up, stared at him, stared at the blood and then tried to shuffle a little away.
"You just... And you want... And..." Laurel gave up, dropped the stake and crossed her arms "fine then, I do feel the need to inform you that I am vegetarian."
Just to point that out, so he didn't end up dragging her off to eat steak or something.

"So, what? You want chicken?" He grinned to show he was kidding with her. And he just liked to grin simply because he was just so handsome doing so. Yes, Liam was a very vain, narcissistic man. And not one woman had yet to disagree with him... Of course, most were not so stupid, but still! "Fine. But don't expect me to change my eating habits to suit yours. I'm a carnivore through and through."
He didn't wait for her response to that matter. He merely picked her up and tossed her over his shoulder... again. He did this now simply because he knew it would annoy her. And also it was an easier way to keep her from seeing the mess downstairs as he leapt over the stair railing and went hurtling like a cat towards the ground. No need to reassure her, but vampires always landed on their feet.

"Well I know that" Laurel snapped "vampires usually have to be." And she was trying very hard not to think about any eventual sacrifices, really, Really hard. She liked life after all.
And then she was being picked up (again) and being thrown over a shoulder and then... Oh dear, the ground looked awfully close from her position... But she trusted Liam (kind of, slightly) and so just screwed her eyes very tightly shut and started to whimper under her breath.
She was taking the hurtling to the ground thing remarkably well.
