This is the memory of the night Muse was conceived to Earth and Light....
“…Shadow Tower is our only option at this point. Our children grow too close. I fear war will be upon us if we let things go on as they are… We shall take her before sunrise. Away from Maelstrom. The priestesses of the Tower shall set Terra right this time. It is all we can do…”
Shadow Tower. The place made of nightmares to every young girl through the kingdom. In lands far away, accessible only by air or by water, a dark tower rose from the ground. Only the High Priestess could open the doorway to it, and at the top was but one lone window. Acres high, no one could reach it. It was where the troubled girls would be locked away. A lesson to their behaviors. A hiding place. A nightmare.
And so far away from her home, from her friends, her family. Her Maelstrom. Though Terra knew that all was wrong by her feelings, she knew that they could never be together, that her parents were doing what was best for her, she could not bare to think she would never see her brother again. And if she did, it would only be when she was too weak to feel for him any longer. She didn’t want to leave, to be locked away.
She had run, then. Upon overhearing her mother and father talking of their plans. She’d taken little time to write Maelstrom a note, stating that she had to leave for a short while, but did not state why. She couldn’t tell him, or he would only be in trouble as well. She had never noticed that it wasn’t just she her parents had been talking about. She hadn’t known he’d felt the same way, and that was why they’d thought it so dangerous.
She’d only planned to leave for a short while, wait until her parents cooled down, or she thought of a better plan. She just knew she had to hide, and she couldn’t do so with her brother, lest that only cause more problems in the kingdom.
With only a small bag of clothing and food, she’d spent the hours of the night running through trees. Past the old hot spring she’d spent so many days and nights with Maelstrom, past the meadow she’d always gone to relax. She ran until the trees were so dense she could no longer see the night sky, far enough to a place that no one would think to look for.
And it was there that she fell, dropping her bag. Her hands clutched at the tufts of grass as her breathing became ragged, wracked with sobs. Why did things have to be so complicated? Why couldn’t she lock up her feelings, pull off such an air of indifference like Maelstrom? If only she could have hidden better, she wouldn’t have to run. Everything would have worked out. But now…
Now all she had was the trees for comfort. The cool grass against her cheek, and the dew that rose before the sunrise. She was alone now. And she no longer knew what to do, too tired to run any longer.

Lucent had found out something terrible. Something that made his feelings twist and turn inside him. He was being forced to marry someone he did not love. Someone who did not know him. The one who could call fire at her whim. No, he just could not take it. He ran, floating on the light from the moon, escaping his prison. He was fleeing into the forest, going deeper and deeper away. He saw her there, so beautiful, broken as he was. His emotions were a jumble that he couldn't control. He went to her, his normal emotional pull so strong that they were both ensnared, caught in a love that only desperation could create.
The next day, they didn't remember anything, but they woke up together - without clothing. They vowed not to tell anyone of this, her going away was the perfect cover.

While Terra was away all that long time, Maelstrom was forced to marry a priestess, and the product of this was Fauna.
