ooc;; I really wanna get to know some of the other Old Powers. So, please, join in if you see fit.Fire sat in her little confined room. Her bed, not as comfortable as the one she had at home, desk and chair were the only pieces of furniture occupying her 'cell'. Not that she was really prisoner. Not too long ago, Fire had been caught doing...well something that shouldn't be retold...and she was sent to the Shadow Towers. Not for very long, no one could ever confine Fire for very long. And she only allowed herself to be taken to the Towers because it would give her some time to think - some time to regroup before setting out with another plan.
Sitting on her bed, Fire eyed the small stack of books sitting on her desk. Old, leather bound and full of wisdom and tales. Fire wasn't truly the reading type. She would rather be out there experiencing life instead of reading about it.
Today was a day of prayer and silence. God. Prayer. And silence? Did they really think she'd go for something like that? So while the other...ladies were sitting in their rooms all quiet and mouselike as they had been told, Fire stared at the top of the pile of books. She willed a burst of warm energy from her bright amber eyes to the leather cover. Fire tensed her entire body, her finger nails cutting into the skin of her palms. Nothing.
The Old Power could feel the energy burning from her core, through her eyes and towards the pile of books. But somewhere between her and the desk, the energy dissipated. It wasn't fair. She played a small prank - to put it lightly - and now she wasn't allowed to burn anything.

In the room above, there was noise. But it was a quiet nose, a faint scratching that was sure to not draw attention. Speaking loudly, now that would no doubt draw the priestess' attentions. And wrath.
But the scratching, it was deliberately soft. A calculated digging through the floor that had been going on for nearly a week. She'd broken the lone chair in her... cell... into varying pieces in her work, and now she was almost there. The ceiling of the room below her began to rain down light pieces of stone. A hole was produced, growing larger and larger by the minute until the body of a slender girl could fit through.
And then Vita, Life, dropped through the ceiling into the room below. Fire's room.
She spared a look at the girl, a slight smile, and said very quietly, "They gave you my usual room. Blocked my escape route."
It shouldn't be any surprise that Vita was well-acquainted with the Towers. Often times the elders hated her flighty nature, especially when she lured in the boys of the kingdoms. They never could lock her up for long, and they still had yet to figure out how she kept getting out. And she wasn't telling them.
With light steps she moved to the side of the desk and started inching it away from the wall. It was a heavy desk, and had once been nailed into the stone flooring. She'd taken care of that last time. It had taken months to construct the escape route, and the desk was the perfect hiding place.
For behind that desk, was a woman-made tunnel system. That led right into the heart of the forest, away from the Towers.
Now, if she could just get the desk moved without making so much noise as she was now.

Dust fell down onto the centre of the floor. Fire whipped her hand back and looked up at the ceiling. Her amber eyes were wide as a hole began to appear there. In a flash, Fire was on her feet, standing back slightly to see what exactly had been going on. Her powers weren't working in this little cubicle of a room; she had no way to defend herself if that hole led to something dangerous.
But what the hole produced was a slender girl. She glanced at Fire and smiled. 'They gave you my usual room. Blocked my escape route.'
"Excuse me?" Fire demanded in a low harsh voice as the girl crossed over to her desk. Her books shook on the heavy wooden table as she tried to shift it. Fire frowned. What kind of person dropped through the ceiling into another's room and rearrange their furniture? The flame haired Power gasped lightly as she saw natural light shine against the opposite wall. Jumping up over to the desk, Fire gripped the edge and helped the girl pull at it. Tightening her fingers around the corner of the desk, tensing her muscles and pushing her weight against the stone floor, Fire pulled and could feel the desk begin to budge. Ever so slowly.

"You're excused," Vita said with a mysterious smile, eyes glinting in the candlelight. She had no doubt that her words had been heard, so she wasn't about the repeat herself.
It was slow work, but eventually the desk was moved back just enough, and little enough sound that attention would not be drawn. And then she scooted between the desk and the wall, into the tunnel that had been hidden behind it. She glanced around, made sure it was still open and not about to collapse and then stuck her head back out.
"If you're coming, you'll want to pull the desk back against the wall behind you. Just in case."

'If you're coming, you'll want to pull the desk back against the wall behind you. Just in case.'
Hmm... Fire knew it would be near impossible to pull the desk back while she was in the hole. She glanced around to find something that would help her. Ah.
Grabbing her blanket, Fire slipped herself into the hole. She straightened up and threaded the blanket around the leg of the desk and pulled the blanket back like a rope. She didn't quite care about how much noise the desk made now, and after a minute or so of strenuous pulling, Fire jumped back down to the floor of the tunnel with the desk back in place.
"Who are you?" she asked the blonde girl who had saved her from a few days of pure boredom.

"Vita," she said, waving slightly in amusement. "Nice job with the desk. Last time I was there for a good hour trying to get that thing back in place. Of course, they took my blanket when they caught me trying to make a rope out the window..."
She shrugged her shoulder, unphased, and regarded the length of the tunnel. It was pretty dark. Vita had been forced to dig the thing by feel rather than light. But at least once she was out of that room she'd been able to use her powers again, seek out the different life forces to guide her away from the Towers.
"And you are?"
