Mors is happy, delightfully happy and for once it has nothing to do with many dying or her sister being happy.
No, it is a sort of carried over happiness because now she has near everything, now Ares often frequents her bed and life is definitely a lot more fun then it has been for years.
She's lying in a field, just watching the clouds drifting, a hand lying absently on her belly, not that she knows what state she is currently in... All she knows that is despite her utter happiness her body seems almost at war with itself.
Death was not meant to bear Life after all.

Vita was a wanderer, so it was no surprise when she wandered upon her sister in this field. What was a surprise was walking over to her only to see ghostly numbers dancing over Mors' stomach, and beyond those numbers she could see details. She could see a gender shaping, a core of power, and even farther in, she could tell just who had fathered such a child.
There was a moment of stunned silence, and then a minor cringe. It was a sympathetic one, slightly disgusted at Ares in general. But she couldn't really hold anything against them. Death and War? What could be more fitting? And she and Ares had been separated for a while- thank heavens! Even if they hadn't been, there would have been no jealousy. She hated the man. Even to this day, even if she remained celibate because they were technically still married- that was just because she was incapable of being with another because it was in her nature to hold such bindings sacred.
"I'm shocked you didn't contact me sooner," Vita said, easing herself down onto the ground beside Mors. "To think, you're producing a new life and I didn't know? Who else would be your midwife?"

Mors looks up at her sister, grins and levers herself up onto her elbows and then freezes, the breath thumping out of her lungs in one rush.
Oh, now it made sense.
....Damn, this really shouldn't have happened.
"Not" she squeaks out absently, a part of her starting to calculate the many ways to let Ares know of this joyful news.

Vita frowns, leaning over when Mors had tried to get up. Somehow she thinks that being the Old Power of Death and trying to grow life don't mix well. It worries her. She always worries about her sister, and now it extended to another life as well.
"Take it easy, Mors," she says gently, placing a soft hand on Mors' stomach. There's a reason there, a little power. She can make things easier, keep the death from taking over. "As your midwife" which she now was set on being, "I'm recommending that you don't overexert yourself. I'll probably have to stay close as well, make sure the little princess in there is fit, and you as well."
As much as she hates Ares, she loves her sister more. If she had to deal with him, just to make sure nothing happened to Mors, then so be it.

For a moment it might just enter Mors's mind to thrash around and lose this child before it can kill her but perhaps she does have some motherly instincts after all... Or maybe she jsut wants to please her sister, anyway, she lowers herself back down again and breaths deeply.
"When's she due?" Well, when are they due but Death can fox even Vita's sense of children to be born and so far the other two that shall be birthed from Mors are being hidden rather well.
Except for Justice, who is far too fond of announcing herself already.

"A little over seven moons," Vita said with a slight frown. Normally a birth lasted nine, but it wasn't too surprising when the mother was basically the goddess of Death. Living things in the body couldn't last very long, and the girl inside her sister seemed very eager to just be out and about. But Vita was very determined to make sure no harm came to either of them because of powers or angry fathers. "She's very impatient, it seems. Have you told Basta- er, Ares?" ((Hope you don't mind the liberty I took on when Justice was due. I can change it if you don't like it. ))

(No problem! Actually makes more sense, and sorry for taking so long!)
Mors is still and cold for a moment and then turns her head up to her sister, smirking softly "Not yet, you told me only today."
Goddesses of Death don't seem to get morning sickness, or at least the effects are a lot more delayed and a lot less dramatic... She hasn't felt anything, it's a little early to tell but then it's probably just her again.

"Well, if he reacts poorly," Vita said, sounding quite logical, but there was a hint of distaste in her tone. Very distant, but still there. "You can always threaten to kill him. But shh, I didn't tell you that."
