The Frosting on the Cake of a Bad Night (Frost!)

Frost's place. Don't ask how he found it; he has his ways. Usually, they're not as good as somebody else's, but in this instance his instinct (instinct, because intuition was less in the gut; less visceral; less passionate; Jakob was nothing if not visceral, a man of the flesh) served him well. Frost's place.

Jakob is mucho unhappico, as it happens. As he raised his fist to knock on the door, he considered just breaking the door open and stalking in; he didn't for two reasons. Well, only one reason, really. He wanted to be able to raise his eyebrow and say and see how I didn't destroy your home like a petulant and uncontrolled child? The moral highground was something that was useful when fighting with women; he didn't foresee himself not fighting wtih Frost any time soon.

When she didn't immediately answer, he DID bellow: "ELEANOR. OPEN YOUR DOOR. DON'T MAKE ME SING. I'LL SING."

And he does. He leans his back against her door, occasionally pounds on it with his fist, while he sings -- with great feeling and expression -- Now I'm Here by the great, the unfortunately late, Queen.

"Ughnn" There was yelling. "UUUUUUUghnnnnnn" There was singing. "God fricking damn it."

A large bed. A large comfy bed with a sexy comfy man in it. That's what she was currently enjoying. But no. Nope. Couldn't have a moment of peace. Pah. Hands in the air, she began to clap. Now, in her own suit of Marquis Tower, this would have turned on all the lights AND set whatever staff was around at...Jakob. Probably Liam would have been there first, if only to preserve the best limbs for his own use.

Clap. "Wha..." clap clap clap. "What!"

From directly next to her came a smooth and oh so sleepy-sex voice, "That's not usually the response I get, but hey I'd be more than happy to show you what it is."

"Mmmmmmmrrrr" she replied, now even more upset as she rolled out of the bed and away from...sigh-worthy sex. Now she was gonna kill him. He was gonna have to die. Whatever pain could be fixed. Seth could fix it. Mmmm..Seth..

Raising her ax high above her head, Frost threw open the door. A few things happened at once: One, she realized that even Seth was not enough to make her go back in that room alone, she decided that this was wholly unacceptable, and tried to hack off his head. Somehow how in the middle of her attempt, she found herself inexplicably in the mood for sex and tossed the ax to the floor. No no. This was not the plan. She had to stick to the plan. But. But. If she bent to pick up the ax, she would leave part of herself exposed and Seth was just in the other room and if he found out that she was being stupid on purpose and and and...

"Why are you here, ruining my sex? Unless you have better sex to offer me RIGHT NOW, you will leave or I'll ask Seth to make you leave."

Yeah, she name dropped, threatened and plain cheated there. But but. After the last encounter, she felt that it was better to just nip this rejection in the bud. Nip it..God, he looked nice...

Frost threw open the door. "Finally!" Jakob says, turning around.

A lesser man would've lost his balance, what with the leaning against the door when it was thrown open, but Jakob is not a lesser man. A lesser man would've also gaped and/or fainted at the sight of Frost, that axe lifted all high; again, Jakob isn't a lesser man. Evasive maneuver, ahoy! But then, inexplicably, instead of the physical fight Jakob has already come to expect from the beautiful Eleanor Frost, she throws the axe to the floor. He raises an eyebrow. The name dropping goes over his head, for the moment.

"First of all! I will always, always have better sex to offer you, if by better sex, you mean sex with me. Second of all, unless you happen to be screwing hot witch twins right now, we are still very far from even. THIRD OF ALL."

He paused and ran both hands through his hair. He's almost wild, tonight; wild in a different way than usual. He says, very clearly, very steadily: "Tonight has been a monumentally bad night. First!" Yes, he's just -- ranting. "I cannot find Darren. ANYWHERE. And then! I was shot! In the ass! By a human midget! She was TWO INCHES TALL. And she thought I was Darren. TWO INCHES TALL, I say. And is she dead? NO. NOT YET." Beat. "A human! Ugh! And it hurt. And my pants were ruined. And she kept babbling about pants and Jack the Ripper and she was two inches tall and why was she alive anyway and..."

He trails away, and looks chagrined; even forlorn. His hazel eyes are all shadow and smoke. It'd be easy to feel bad for him. Luckily for those involved, he's not done talking yet. The corner of his mouth curves up, boyishly hopeful, boyishly cruel.

"So I said to myself, Jakob? You should find yourself a beautiful woman to kiss it better. And then I thought, and who's the best at kissing ass, if not Seth Marquis' number one female employee?"

Frost's mouth hung open for a moment. Had she seriously just been feeling bad for him? Like...Really? Because if she had, she definitely not feeling pity at this point. At all.

...Sex with me.... Oh.. that sounded nice....BUT SHE WOULDN'T BE TRICKED! WOULD NOT BE DISTRACTED.

"Ok. Well. Right. Humm. Well. Huh. So, if you don't leave in the next thirty seconds, I'll shoot you in the ass myself." she said, glaring, "I'll find a way to bottle the sun and shoot you with it without injuring myself. Or maybe I'll just use a good ol' repeating crossbow. Now leave."

And without waiting for an answer, she went back inside and slammed the door in his face. Now she was faced with an irritating quandry. In the other room, there was a Seth. And he would be happy to take her mind off things. But on the other hand, she found herself glued to the back of the door. Seth didn't really mind either way. So, pathetically enough, she stayed where she was, against the back of the door, wondering what had become of her once steely resolve.

(( Awwww. Poor Frost. Jakob really is a bastard. Ah well! *cracks knuckles, prepares response! bwaha!* ))

He raises an eyebrow at about the time she says I'll find a way to bottle the sun. It's an infuriating raise-of-the-eyebrow, probably; it's so expressive of how hysterically female she's being in his old-fashioned view; how he probably finds it at least somewhat amusing. He folds his arms over his chest; she pushes him over the threshold; she slams the door in his face. His nose, actually; it breaks. His mouth was open to say a word, but he closes it, pinches the bridge of his nose; there's a crack, as he adjusts; as it heals, albeit slower than usual. He's low on blood tonight; he'll have to go and hunt soon or risk a serious loss of control. Or at least some lasting bruises.

He raises his fist to pound on the door again; hesitates. Turns away, leans against the door. They're back to back, even though they don't know it; even though there's a door between them. Then --

(This is the thing.

There's a reason he came to her, although he doesn't fully understand it. He wouldn't usually go to women he was interested in at a time like this. He wouldn't, not usually. But Jakob wants Frost. He wants Frost like thirst wants to drink; like gravity wants to bring things down to its level. He wants her body, yes, and he wants her to laugh at him, and he wants her to look at him with fear, and he wants her to laugh with him, and he wants her to look at him like she's in love, and he wants to make her catch her breath, he wants to hear her talk, he wants to hear her insult him, praise him, fuck him, he wants it. He doesn't expect satisfaction, even though he's almost always been satisfied before; he suspects things he doesn't want to suspect on a deep, subconscious level.

After all, Frost is beneath him; Frost is basically a human who was given benefits. Frost is a servant. Frost is -- )

Soft as a growl: "Wait. Seth? Seth's in there? You're sleeping with Seth?" The name-dropping finally has an effect. Well, of course she was; he wasn't surprised. It's not like everybody didn't know what went on in Seth's harem -- er, his business suites. Still. She was sleeping with him now? Right now, while he, Jakob, was having a bad night? Jakob turns around, all liquid grace; licquor grace; the kind of boneless grace that drunks have. And he pounds on the door, again.

It was silent for a short while, and Frost - mistakenly - thought that she was freed of him. Silly of her, really. Why would he leave her in peace so easily? He wouldn't. Damn him.

The issue Frost faced was that she didn't do weakness. And emotional attachment to the caliber that she secretly wanted was definitely weakness. On top of the many many reasons that it would be stupid to try letting Jakob in on her premature and unexplainable feelings, she didn't know if she wanted to open herself up that way to anyone. For a moment when she had come back, she had considered that maybe Seth knew that this was going to happen and and..but that was impossible. That was the other thing. How would Seth do with the whole..with someone for love..thing? Granted, it's not like she was with a human...But still.

"Wait. Seth? Seth's in there? You're sleeping with Seth?"

Crap. Frost squeezed her eyes shut for a moment, toying with the idea of escaping by jumping out the window..which was very high up. But in the end, she turned again slowly and opened the door.

Instead of screaming, or being violent, or even speaking, Frost tried a different tactic: staring. Yes, leaning against the door frame, inches from him, she just stared silently at him, waiting for some sort of real explanation.

When Frost opens the door, he stopped beating on it. He was arrested mid-hit and unclenches his fist with a cool deliberance. His gaze flicks over Frost's shoulder, into the apartment, then back to her; to her eyes.

Part of him is pleased -- arrogance is, after all, his default setting. Yeah, not with Seth now, are you? Nope; you've chosen to be at the door with me. But part of him isn't pleased. Isn't pleased at all.

So she stares and he stares back. He can look so misleadingly human when he does that; just as if he were a real person; just as if he had a real conscience. As if he'd ever had either. Then he laughs. At himself, more than anything; at her, too.

"So will you help me?"

In all the excitement, Frost's short term memory has been basically shot. Help him? Help him with what? Pah. Strangely - or maybe not so strangely now - she didn't just say no. As the moments wore on, she found herself recognizing Seth's bed as a refuge. She knew she couldn't escape there anymore. Not really. Le sigh.

"Help you? Help you with what?" no point trying to dance around the issue which was that she had not been paying attention. He'd just figure it out anyway. Besides, this was more fun.

"And when do I get this sex?"

Jakob's gaze lightens and, after a heartbeat, his smile spreads slow. "Find my brother. Isn't that what you do? Find people that can't be found. Unless you're afraid of failure. I can understand how you would be. And how is young Michael?"

But Eleanor asked another question, didn't she? Jakob insinuated himself into Frost's personal space. He doesn't tower over her, but he is taller; he casts a long shadow. His voice goes down to embers and smoke, growl-voice, skin-intimate: "Well."

Jakob touches the base of Frost's spine; her hips; grabs her hips and presses her flush against his hips. He? is rough. Voice? is tender. Yes, tender. Sort've. "That depends. Think I can fuck you hard enough your brain gets knocked from here," and he touches her, here, to illustrate, "back to here," and he bumps his head, lightly, against hers, "where it belongs?"

His fingers go back. "Not that I don't like it here."

"Find your brother....right...Of course I can..." she says distractedly, watching his eyes, his hands and his lips. Yes, his lips are VERY very nice to watch. It's very interesting how easily he can control and manipulate her. Too easy. Inside, she's irritated. Outside, she wants it to continue. Wait, no. Maybe the other way around? None of the above?

"Well, I'm not sure if you have that much talent," she says slyly, edging out of the door, and turning - which doesn't make his closeness any less...enticing - to shut the door, "but I'm certainly willing to let you try. But not here. We'll go to my own rooms."

Hmm...the image of Seth and Jakob meeting like this...tempting...NOT.

Not all responses are verbal. Frost shuts the door and turns around and it's all with hardly a sound. Jakob presses her against the door with his body. He enjoys the way she feels against him; the way she fits against him. Neat as a piece of a puzzle.

"What," he says, with a twitch of his lips into an amused smirk or a smile which she can feel against the side of her neck, which is where they are. "Aren't you going to say goodbye to your other sex?"

He laughs, soft. "What's wrong with right here, Eleanor?"

This definitely started as him distracting her, but Jakob is a sensualist and a hedonist. His willpower is only so strong.

It's cliche to say that her eyes flutter. But they do. Thankfully, she's still facing the door, so he doesn't actually see this. However, she doesn't think that she is lucky enough that it escaped his notice.

"Mmm.." she sighs, momentarily convinced that it would be perfectly logical to engage in intercourse against Seth's door with a man that isn't Seth. No, wait. That's right..

"No...No, we need to go somewhere else. If he comes out here and kills you, I'll be rather disappointed."

"I can be quiet," Jakob murmurs. The words must be more felt than heard, the way they silk across her skin; and, boy oh boy, does the boy know how to use his hands or what? And is he using them, or what? He is. Use your imagination. He knows how to use 'em.

But then? Then he sighs, and there's a spike of black anger, in his gut, in his throat, which he swallows as he pushes away from Frost's oh-so-enticing shape. He ruffles her hair, fondly; it's a gesture reminiscent of his brother, but Frost isn't to know that.

The anger? Whencefore? It's not that he's disappointed he's not gonna get to bang Frost against Seth's door. The concept really doesn't appeal ALL that much to him. It's just...

There's a reason. Unvoiced. Stupid, anyway. His tone is dry: "I'm sure he'll be very understanding when you just blueball him without a word. So lead the way, hot stuff."

She could tell him that it won't be an issue because they've already had the pleasure. But she doesn't. She could tell him that Seth really won't mind picking someone else from the harem tonight. She doesn't. Not exactly.

"Seth will never be blueballed. It just won't happen." she says casually, "But I'm not really interested in whether he can find someone to screw. As much as it pains me to admit it, I'm only interested in whether you can - as long as it's me." Lightening fast, she swoops in and...!!!....kisses him lightly on the nose.

"My rooms are just downstairs,"

Taking his hand, she starts toward the elevator, leading him. Interesting things happen in elevators heh heh.
