Cassie was lost. Badly lost. A day that had started off pleasantly enough - going shopping for new clothes for school and a quiet undisturbed lunch - and then she had to find her way back home. Unfortunately, she missed her bus stop and was dropped off at the next one. After fifteen minutes was wandering around, Cassie found herself in a part of Vegas she had never seen before. The skies were filled with smog, the hems of her jeans were now dark with dust from the ground and she had to hold her breath every time she passed an alley.
The new witch began to worry as she checked her watch. Her mother had been expecting her home an hour ago. She must be furious.
Cassie passed another alleyway, but was stopped by a young man. He was drastically pale and had strange silvery green eyes. Whoa. Sidestepping him, Cassie made it a few more steps away before he called out to her.
Walking faster, to almost a jog, Cassie watched in dismay as the sun began to set. Oh geez. Dark, in Vegas...in a part of town that looked Cassie had seen a horror movie once. She wished that Adam were here. Cassie missed him ever since the move. The occasional phone call and weekly letter just wasn't enough.

"I didn't mean to scare you," Tommy said, watching her freak out, "You just looked like someone I knew...Sorry." He let his green eyes look toward the ground, blond head drooping in what looked like apology, and hands in the pockets of his cargo pants. This was a routine that had worked many many times. The act only worked on the right type of person though. The way she skittered around like a scared rabbit told him that he was pretty much set here, but if not, he'd just attack her and kill her, ending the game early. Either way, he was set for the night. ((Sorry about the short post, just thought you'd want SOMETHING, you know? ))

Cassie gasping, trying not to seem too scared. Even though she had become a new person since New Salem, even though she was braver than before, being in a dark area, in Las Vegas, confronted by a stranger forced her to revert to her old self.
I didn't mean to scare you. You just looked like someone I knew...Sorry.
The man's voice seemed sincere enough. Cassie turned and glanced at him, before casting her blue grey eyes to the ground. "That's okay," she mumbled, her words barely making a sound. Usually she would turn and continue walking. She would be more relaxed outwardly, but would desperately want to get the hell out of there.
But for some reason, Cassie felt rooted to the ground, her eyes connecting with his. The young man, blonde, beautiful eyes and very attractive..... Cassie blinked. She snapped out of the mini-trance and looked away. She wished that Adam were here more than ever. He'd protect her. ooc;; thanks hun xD no prob about the shortness.

Tommy let his eyes slide up from the ground at her response, catching her eyes. Unfortunately, she broke herself out of his minor mind rolling. He caught a couple thoughts about some guy before he was forced to leave her mind or gag openly on his disgust. He, personally, thought that gagging would ruin the whole effect.
"Are you lost? Maybe I could help you out to make up for scaring you?" he asked, his voice carrying not even a hint of the sarcasm that was going through his mind. Tommy was tempted to take a step closer, but he decided that the best course of action was to remain where he was. He kept his stance in a timid manner, hoping to gain her trust.
