Name: Jason "Jay" Lumina
Age: 17
Zodiac Sign: pfft.
Species: Witch (Old Power)
Hair Color: black
Eye Color: sapphire blue
Brief Look Description: Jay has a dimness about him - in looks, not in mind power. His dark hair shines, but it doesn't shine with light. His brilliant blue eyes, though bright, seem to speak of the dark. even his skin - which would be a healthy olive color - speaks of darkness. All this makes him appear as if he leeches the light around him, forever cloaking him in a darkness that would be terrifying on most people. But not him.
Personality: Jay is someone whom you can read easily because he makes his opinions known. He's someone who is truthful to the point of harshness, and will not forgive you if you cross him the wrong way. Jay doesn't do subtlety. It's not in his nature. He has issues controlling his views on people. Difficulties with seeing most humans as less than him. Jay would be easily able to live in a chaotic world. He can adapt to anything.
Brief Bio: Jay grew up with his uncle in Rome, learning to be a fisherman until his memories started returning. Unlike most of the old powers where they realized their history gradually, Jay was hit with the whole shebang at once, learning the entire truth of the past in an hour of revelation that would land him in the hospital for a week.
His uncle - not being a Nightworlder -figured that the sun, and stress of his home was what had caused this issue and decided to send him to live with cousins in America at age ten.
It didn't take long for the people and kids around him to start to realize that something was different about him. Adults would speak of his eyes when they thought he couldn't hear, all agreeing that in his eyes, there was too much knowledge.
At school, when he was still about ten or eleven, he learned to keep to himself. There had been a very disturbing incident when he had told another classmate how she would die. He figured that in things that he should not know, he could tell only one: his journal. One journal became many. He keeps all the information that he learns about others in these books, just as an outlet.
In general life now, he'll tell you the absolute truth of anything, unless he can't, except things that he's not supposed to know. He saves those little tidbits for when someone really gets on his nerves.
He remembers all the old powers, but he hasn't seen anyone yet. He thinks it might be nice to meet up with fire. Maybe air. He's not a huge fan of Earth because she comes off as weak, but he knows that truthfully she's not.
Social Connections: His uncle Vesper
Model: Sabastian Monroe
Optional Information: Old Power - Light. His opposite is obviously Dark, thought he hasn't seen or heard, or sensed her at all since he became human again. He knows that he was the blunt, clear thinker or of the two of them and that he didn't have real high opinions of most of the elemental powers. He liked air because he was another calculator type.
Light has powers over things that are true, anything that gives off light, mirrors, and the sense of touch. He can talk to fires, and light and they will talk back. There is no need to command things that will do your will either way. He doesn't find the skill that useful though. He can see anything he wants to in any reflective surface be it water, mirrors or shiny metal. He can make someone's fears recede when they step into the light, or he can give someone he cares about their own inner light as a permanent ward from darkness. The kicker there, though, is that there can only be one living person, or undead, or whatever, at a time with the inner light. And if he takes it back, the person dies unless they are powerful enough to live..but there are very few in that category, so he doesn't give it out anymore...He can help enable mental clarity at the cost of some of his own clarity temporarily. He can hide himself if strong light, but not for very long. If he stays a light thing for too long, he begins to get tired and if he falls asleep in that form, he can't come back.
Jay can use mirrors to travel and communicate with others. and he can climb beams of light. It's odd. And he can make it light. So light that he can kill weaker vamps as if it were the sun, but this leaves him weak for days if he kills anyone. He can take away someone's sense of touch with a kiss, leaving them in a world where they could cut off their own finger by accident and not know it.
He can tell you the truth of things. He can tell you how you will die, but not when. He can tell you the truthful answers to certain questions. Unfortunately, sometimes the truth of things change. So, if he tells you that you will wear pink pajamas to school tomorrow, it's unlikely because you are already working to change the truth.
His most convincing power is to make you fall in love with him. Not a lasting end of the world thing, but so infatuated that you'll do anything he asks... He can make anyone and everyone love his presence, crave his touch. But if he takes it too far or too long, he will become infatuated with that person.
