le plot!
Okay, so Jade is having me head up the new plot, and so please bear with me as this is a thinking process for me. Hashing details and all, so if you have any suggestions or problems with the plot and guidelines, etc, just let me know and I’ll work on it more. J
The Plot:
It is a few years before the ‘Final Darkness’ is supposed to come. Three out of the four Wild Powers have been found, and the fourth still eludes the Nightworld’s clutches. As the new millennium draws closer, many have found soulmates in each other, as well as humans. Forbidden laws are being broken each day, and new powers arise with each Nightworlder. They say the Old Powers are acting up, that they’re rising again.
But they’ve all forgotten the truth in the old legend, for it has become nothing more than a silly bedtime story to the little witches, lamia, and shifters of the Nightworld. The Old Powers were once people, just like you and I. They were witches born into great power, able to harness the powers of the elements. They once ruled a kingdom of witches and humans and all other Nightworlders alike. They were revered, but they were flawed beyond their people.
For Fire, imperious and passionate, fell in love with Air. She desired to possess the cool and calculating prince, but he only had eyes for his sister of not only power, but blood as well. Earth, gentle and compassionate, if not a little lazy, would always remain oblivious, only to be caught in a battle of jealousy and rage. Fire lashed out, and Earth fell. Air’s rage and grief was inconsolable, and he soon sought to kill Fire in revenge. Each Old Power was equal to one another, and though they held great power, they had their limits, their weaknesses, and they were far from invincible. They could not outmatch each other, and soon Fire and Air fell at the hands of one another’s power.
Alone was Water, driven to madness by his grief, stricken by the destruction between his kin and amongst their kingdom. He was left to put out the flames, to console the few of the kingdom left alive. But upon the assurance that they would live on to breed many generations, he soon let his own power destroy him. And as he fell upon his death, he prayed that one day, far off in the future of their lands, that his kin would be reborn again, and that they would learn to live in harmony once again.
But as the Nightworld believes the Old Powers to merely be a force, each Power has been reborn. They have grown as human children, slowly discovering each talent they innately control. Earth, Air, Fire and Water were once again whole and breathing. But they have yet to remember their true power, or their true and savage history. They have yet to awaken fully, though they still bear the same qualities of personality, the same power locked within them.
But to ascend, they must unite again, to fully awaken, they must find their soulmates. But to learn from their past mistakes… well, that is a different lesson altogether, and one they have yet to learn.
Guidelines, etc:
1) Okay, so the Old Powers are first come, first serve basically. (Except I call Earth, kay? Lol.) But here are some basics on each power, as we’re going by mah little story:
+Earth: female. She is known as the gentle and compassionate of the four. She was once blood sister to Air, who (yes, yes, I know, ew, but still) was in love with her. Her innate power is the ability to read minds. By innate, I mean, a power that she can use with no effort, as much as she wants without any physical or mental problems. All the Powers can have one innate power, and everything else must have some sort of tax upon their selves. They are not ‘All-powerful’. They are not gods. They were basically humans, but held great power, great responsibility, and with their power came great risk to themselves if overused.
Earth’s other powers include, but are not limited to: Calling on all aspects of earth (such as earthquakes, lightning, etc.). She can also heal wounds, but it physically drains her.
+ Air: Is a male. May or may not still be in love with earth. It’s up to whoever chooses air. He is the cool, intelligent and collected one of the four. He borders more towards the dark side, but he was once more neutral to please his sister. Innate powers, and such, are all up to the owner of air, but some ideas could be: Telepathy, the ability to read thoughts. Power over wind, ability to suck in knowledge like a sponge, steal a person’s breath supply…etc.
+ Fire: Female or Male (I can always change the plot!). Full on in the dark side. Fire is very ambitious, and would prefer to be ruler of the universe if she/he could just destroy enough things. It’s up to the owner of this Power, whether she/he remains obsessed with air, and what her/his powers shall be. Ideas?: Powers to raise desires, overheat the blood, conjure fire, etc.
+ Water: Male or Female. He/She’s the over-emotional, caring soul. Just like water. Everything is up to the owner. Ideas?: empath, ability to manipulate emotions, control over water, steam and ice, etc.
2) When you choose who you want, just message me and I’ll take the Power off the available list.
3) When you make an application for your Power, it would be awesome if you described their powers and all.
4) And please, please, please remember that the Powers are not meant to be Mary Sues. Give them depth, give them flaws. And most of all, they have weaknesses. That can’t go around using vast amounts of powers all the time without it being taxing on their body. They can try, but it’ll be hard. Lol. I mean, it’s cool if they want to show off and expose the Nightworld (drama? YES!) but there’s always side effects after a lot of use.
