Three. Two. One. The largest tree in the park burst into flames. Bridget's narrowed eyes flashed golden and she blinked. The flames disappeared, leaving only smoke and singed leaves. Bridget repeated the process and found that the more she practiced the more control she had over the flames.
Before this practice, Bridget had checked the park. Not a soul in sight. She couldn't find any other place to work on her fire power without being surrounded by curious eyes.
Whipping around, Bridget thrusted out her hand, her fingers splayed and her palm faced away from her. A wall of fire, ten feet wide and seven feet high, appeared before her. The flames didn't touched the grass below them, but Bridget knew that if something were trying to attack her, this wall of fire would stop them in their tracks. She smiled, satisfied, and folded her fingers into a fist, upon which the wall disappeared. It had taken her a few days to work that one out.
It was a week after her encounter with Earth and Air at the school. Bridget hadn't seen them since and that worried her. Were they off searching for Water too? Were they planning something? Bridget herself had dreamt of Water many times. Each time, she saw him in one part of the city or another. When she woke up, she would go searching for him but she never found him. With him on her side, the fight would be even. Without him, she was outnumbered three to one. That wasn't even a fight.
A sound behind her had Bridget clenching her fist together and spinning around. The tendrils of fire that had danced around her fingers disappeared as soon as her hand closed off. Someone was spying on her....

Wednesday wasn't spying...exactly...She was just...gathering information. Yeah, that was it, gathering information. She watched in awe at the display of power from one...she checked her palm where the name of this chick was written...Bridget Pyre. Huh. Fitting name, she thought sourly.
Well, this was good. Now she could report back and...Oh, shit. Well it seemed that Bridget had seen her. Wonderful.
"Excuse me," she said, coming out from her hiding place, sticking on an innocent look, "Can you tell me how to get the the Orleans? I seem to be a bit lost..." she said, biting her lip in what she knew was a very convincing manner. Besides, if this chick didn't believe her, there was more than one way to skin a cat. Not that she'd attack someone that powerful straight out. That would be stupid. She wasn't stupid. hope you don't mind me bringing Wednesday into this..

ooc;; no problem =]Bridget blinked, strands of her hair brushing in front of her eyes. Running her fingers through her hair to push her fringe back, the Old Power knew that her eyes were swirling back to a normal hazel.
A girl stood there. One with hair so blonde it looked almost white. Bridget frowned, accessing the girl's body language. She didn't feel human. And her eye colour was so sharp, bright and steely, that she must have been a Night Person.
"The what?"
[/b] The girl must have been a Night Person. If she wasn't, then she would have freaked out on the fire front. Unless she was just rather thick and hadn't noticed the walls of flames erupting around the park. That didn't seem likely.[/size][/color][/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

"The Orleans? You know, the hotel?" Wednesday asked, giving the girl an honestly stumped face. How did she not know about the Orleans, but she lived in Vegas? Oh well. It was a bit off the strip...
"Anyway," she said, not waiting for a real answer, "Looks like you're busy here so..I'll let you get back to it then..." she started to edge away, knowing that Seth would want to know about this little tidbit.

Bridget frowned. Something didn't quite add up. She moved forward, her hand clasping the blonde's arm before she could completely turn away. Bridget shouldn't have done that. She knew that her hand would have been burning a few degrees higher than average body temperature. But the girl was acting suspicious.
"Why would you be looking for a hotel at the park? The Orleans would be in a completely different area." Bridget's sharp eyes liquidified to topaz as she surveyed the girl. What was she up to?

(( too lazy to mess with font right now..))
Wednesday eyed the hand that touched her for almost thirty seconds before shooting Bridget her own glare. She didn't want to have to mention Seth. After all, he usually appeared not long after the mention of his name, and that could be eerie in itself, but she also didn't want to go through the hassle. The other side of the coin was that anyone who was anyone - and everyone else - knew and feared the Original Vampire who basically ran Las Vegas. That would up the chances of her living. Quite a lot.
Besides, if things got rough, she could always just call him in a bit.
