Another day of training, of mishaps and sudden discoveries. Little Terra had managed to grow a beanstalk right through the center of Rhys' classroom, and Poseidon had discovered how to conjure a giant whale onto their Guardian's desk. Much to his chagrin of course.
Vita, on the other hand, had spent the lesson merely observing. She hadn't much in the way of powers. At least not ones that would be welcomed. She could bring someone back from the brink of death, but no one was mortally wounded. She could read a person's life in their palms and auras, but many were quickly bored of such a trait. And most did not appreciate it when she switched their genders, so she tried not to do that too often. But she didn't really mind watching the lessons from the sidelines. She liked seeing what her friends could do and learn, and most of all, she absolutely loved to watch Rhys. Liked to see him annoyed, or exasperated, or amused. True he was her best friend and guardian so of course she admired him and enjoyed being around him, but she would be the first one to admit that there was something else there for her. An underlying attraction that she had yet to admit to him, but today she was feeling a bit courageous... even if it meant she might get rejected.
Class had finally ended and she'd stayed behind as everyone had exited the training room. It was just her and Rhys, which wasn't so out of the ordinary. She often liked to hang around him, have him as company. He was very pleasant, and pleasing to the eyes, among a great many other things. But today was slightly different in the fact that she didn't intend on playing the best friend. She moved away from her corner desk only to perch on the corner of his desk, placing one foot on the edge of his seat between his legs and smiled.
"Hey, Rhys," she said softly, her eyes trained along his fine jawline. "While I realize this might come out of the blue, but... has anyone ever told you just how delectably beautiful you are?"
