Kuugun Rui was not a patient person. He was not a terribly sensitive person, and he was most definitely not a person who apologize. This was why he glared at the sky as he walked. Having called Lily a few days before, Rui had had time to ponder just how difficult it was going to be to just get this over with. The clouds in the sky seemed to mirror his frosty additude, letting forth a lovely curtain of huge fluffy snowflakes. The snow wasn't completely unexpected. It was winter..he just hoped that Lily had had the foresight to dress for the weather. As he got closer to their agreed meeting place - the park - he began to trudge. Oh, yes. He was trudging. They had agreed to meet in the very center of the park, at one of the only benches in the place. The area was quite lovely, covered in shimmery ice crystals and snow. The growing white blanket on the ground muted the sounds of his trudging and the air puffed out white as he breathed. When he was just on the edge of the park, a thought occured to him: What if she didn't come? What if she just left him out there in the snow alone? These thoughts alone almost made him just turn around and leave, but he kept going. He had to. Because as much as he was afraid of her not showing, what if she did and he didn't? That realization shocked him back into motion - he had stopped walking while pondering his newest quandry. Well, there was really only one way to find out, wasn't there? ((ok, so you should do a nice post about lily's wait or whatever and then he'll come into view in my next post and meet her...so she doesn't see him yet.))

Lily hated the cold. She absolutely, positively HATED the cold! But it was winter. Cold things were bound to happen. And Rui was the only one she'd make the trek outside into the snow and cold for, and wait for. No one else. She refused. But that didn't mean she didn't take measure to try to stay warm. She'd gotten herself into two pairs of pants, three pairs of socks, four shirts, two sweaters and a giant puffy green winter jacket. Not to mention her fuzzy green mittens and scarf and even a little matching hat. All to keep warm and she was still slightly freezing her bum off. So many layers she might have looked like an eskimo, and that it was a bit awkward to try to walk properly. Too... damn.... cold! Now, she liked the snow. Liked watching it fall and everything. But she hated the cold. Sad that they both went together so well. Lily frowned, scuffling over to a bench and almost toppled over onto it before she realized it would be too cold to sit down on, so instead she made a huffing noise, her breath fanning out in a quick gust of white as she scuffled back around, shivering as she waited for Rui to show up. Brr. Cold.

Rui's soft black hair blew slightly in the winter wind as he walked along. He had spotted a figure - more like a blob- near their bench, so he wasn't trudging so much now. He was dressed simply in a black wool peacoat, a grey wool scarf, and black leather gloves. All very expensive, and very warm. Not that he had any huge problems with the cold.
When he reached the bundled figure, he almost felt sorry for her. He sighed. There was no way to have a serious conversation with her when everytime he looked her direction he felt the urge to chuckle. Using a relatively small amount of power, he super heated the air around his hand, and blow-dried the bench so that it wouldn't freeze them. Then, using a little more power, he created a bubble of air around them that maintained a comfortable 75 degree temperature. Then he sat. No need to tell her to take off clothing, she would figure it out. And he could shed his clothing accordingly.
"So, um..Nice weather, huh?" he said awkwardly, completely unsure as to how he was going to go about this.

"Hate... cold..." Lily's voice was muffled from beneath her scarf, as she had covered half of her face with it, but her dislike was clear in her tone, if not her words.
But then it was all warm and nice, at least in their little area, and she almost did a dance out of pure glee. But she was too bundled up for such a thing. Curses. Fine. That could be remedied. Besides, now she was too hot. So she quickly made work of removing her scarf, hat, gloves, coat. All but one of her shirts- a tank top, really- and her jeans, and then swiftly kicked off her shoes and padded around barefoot. She hated clothes! Urgh!
"Thank you," she said, stretching her arms out above her head and smiling, "I'm more of a spring girl... But then again that should be obvious. Heh."
It took her a moment to realize he was a bit... awkward, and she padded over to the bench, leaning forward to look at him. She was thinking to make this easier on him. She really hated to make him uncomfortable. "I'm going to assume you arranged this meeting to tell me you forgive me, right? If that's the case, we can just forget about everything, and then get to the making up part. Which would involve me hugging you a lot."

Rui looked at Lily with only mild disdain as she padded around in ridiculous amounts of undress. She was going to get them all discovered with her foolishness. He managed to show only a small amount of his opinion on the subject. Good for him. Also, he had come to apologize...but if she was going to accept that he was forgiving her instead, then he was going to roll with that. So much easier that way.
"Well..." he began, drawing out the word, "I suppose I could do that..."
Then he had an idea. It was an evil evil idea. Evil genius. Slowly, so that it would be unnoticed by her - until it was too late bwahaha - he began to retract the heat bubble so that it was only around himself.
Rui was so proud of this evilly genius thought, that he forgot about what it would mean...and what it would mean was that she would need to be very close to him. Very close indeed, to keep herself safely warm.

Lily's happiness at being forgiven was dampened slightly by the sudden rush of cold as the bubble of heat retracted.
"Oh, god! Cold! WHY?" She tried to follow the bubble only to find that Rui was the only place of warmth left, the evil male that he was. But she was too cold to even think that. She just wanted to be warm, and so she practically flung herself onto his lap, quickly unbuttoned his coat and wrapped it around her too, trying to get as close to warmth as possible. "You're mean. You made the heat go away." She buried her face in the warmth of his shirt too just for good measure. Evil man.

Since she wasn't looking, and couldn't see his face, he allowed a smug, victorious smile to appear there for a few moments, before forcing himself to be serious so she wouldn't hear his amusement.
"Well, you know, it's been a while, and.." he trailed off, leaving room for her imagination to take over. True, they hadn't...well...but you know...

Lily looked up with a confused look. "It's been a while since what?" There was great moment of silence because that was the first thing her mind went to ever, and then a look of realization crossed her face. It was quite clear to see when everything clicked into place. "Oh. Oh. But we never. I mean. Not that I haven't thought about... I mean. I didn't say that. I don't know what you're talking about. But um... well, there were...." Lily finally managed to let her rambling trail off, and she took a deep breath, looked at Rui for a brief second before settling her gaze on his shoulder. "Ok. Ok. I'll admit it. So, in the past, I used to think about... uh, you know... quite often, actually." Her cheeks flamed at that admission, and then she went on to shove her foot even farther in by saying, "And that still hasn't changed. Not that I really mind. Why am I saying this? Just forget I said it. Ok? I don't want to talk about it?"

Rui's eyes went wide for a moment. Very wide. Then...not so surprisingly, another smile crept onto his face. In another minute he realized just how close she was to him, and JUST how much he liked it. Well. There went that.
Rui expanded the air bubble around them once more so that it included the whole bench. All the better to lay them down. And he did. True, he was not the most forward person, but something about getting intimate in the middle of a deserted park during a snow storm was very...enticing. Besides, Lily was already halfway there. Why waste such perfect conditions?

It was Lily's turn for her eyes to widen. "Um... Um..." She was very tempted to started rambling again, because she was suddenly very nervous. She didn't think she would be nervous with anyone but him. After all, he was the only one that she'd let do this, or be willing. The works. And so that made her afraid of failure, of being a bumbling idiot and not knowing what to do, in front of him. She didn't want to disappoint him.
But thankfully she had enough common sense to shut her mouth, at least on speaking terms. Instead, she stared up at him for a long moment, biting her lip, before deciding herself that it really didn't matter. He loved her, right? And she loved him. So it would be a learning experience, so what? At least she was back with her soulmate, of whom she'd missed greatly. And never had the chance to express her feelings fully (both in the past and present lives) without interruption.
"I love you," she said, to make things clear she supposed, but really she just wanted to say it, before she slid her hands through his hair and pulled him closer so that she could kiss him.
