Fern is now a rather old woman, she's lived for more then a millennium and has seen nearly everything there is to see, has done nearly everything there has been to do... And she has forgotten a lot, if she had remembered everything her head would have doubtlessly exploded with all of it.
But she definitely remembers the feel of her family in her head, sure she'd been blocking out the faint buzz for the last nineteen years but now... Now she definitely feels it, in the same city on a quick stop to dispense justice... And she can feel all of them, can really feel all of them.
So now she is standing in the middle of the street, staring at the sky and trying to call some of them to her with her mind... To find out how exactly they've survived.
She can only hope that her mental urging works.

((OOC: Hope you don't mind if I join in. ;D )) Chaos, Dischordia, currently known as Eris- last names were so unimportant- had last been seen standing along the shorelines of Japan. The same shorelines that moments after a great tsunami had taken over. It had not been purely intentional, though she knew wherever she went chaos was bound to happen. Bound to liven things up. So.... you could say that it was expected, if not exactly in that form.
But it had been such a lovely farewell party for her. The fisherman of the village and their families fleeing from the great overshadowing waves. And it was a smiling Eris who had glided out through the crashing tsunami, drifted along the waves to the next mainland. And from there, buildings had fallen, people had run, and old abandoned minefields had suddenly blown apart. Luckily most had only been injured by such unintentional mayhem. Only a few had perished.
Not like Eris could keep it from happening. Just know it could be worse. Much worse.
And perhaps.... there are moments in life when true invective is called for, when it becomes an absolute necessity, out of a deep sense of justice, to denounce, mock, vituperate, lash out, in the strongest possible language.
Perhaps that is what had drawn her across the continents to such a town as Vegas, already filled with a chaos of its own. Note: It could be worse. So, so much worse. And it's language was a luring hook, a drawing line in her mind that pulled her towards a place that was empty of people. Still in its chaos. Silent, with but one person standing. Waiting. Calling.
And it was a figure that Eris recognized, for it had not changed, had not aged. A half-sister from another life, you could say, and one that she wasn't too fond of.
"Justice. Still ruining the fun, I see." The old mocking voice, one filled with recklessness, and the person attached to such a voice was the embodiement of pure destruction. Eris.

(Of course not ^^)
Fern turns around, Fern sees Eris and very quickly pushes down the urge to bite her and then stake her... That would just lead to her dying happy and besides... Chaos is rather unreliable about doing such things, she'd probably manage to come back anyway.
The urge is still very strong though.
Instead Fern manages to smile, to shake back her hair a little and to waltz over with a slight bouncy smile "Chaos, Still refusing to look after your hair I see."
Don't open your mouth too far, don't show her your fangs, she'll probably laugh about them...

Eris playfully mussed up her hair even more, glancing down at herself with a purely wicked grin. Her clothes were a bit torn, more than a bit chaotic and thoroughly drenched. "This evening a bit more than others," she said with a taunting voice, "Took a dive into the Bellagio's pool and left with the area in shambles. They'll be wondering what happened in the morn'. And you, you're ever the justice-serving gal I remember. Still don't know the meaning of fun in chaos? Though.... hmmm.... something is different..."
She trailed off placing a thoughtful finger to her chin as she stealthily circled ol' Justice. "Could it be the reason you're talking now as if you're wearing dentures?" It was a crude way to put the observation. She was just talking like she didn't want to open her mouth too much, but Eris was never one for the tactful way of saying things.
Tilting her head slightly to the side, she hunched down and stuck her face eye level with her mouth. "What? Don't tell me you're so old you've got them now! Whatchu hidin', old lady?"

Fern felt her teeth grit, which had usually been her response to Chaos so there was little change "That is probably breaking the law."
Not that she could serve justice down on Chaos, the other old powers were off limits... Unfortunately.
And then at Eris's next words Fern felt herself freeze, mouth snapping down firmly over her teeth, eyes widening slightly... Which had probably been her intention all along, she usually could keep her temper but when faced with Chaos... Well.
"I do not have dentures!" She mumbled with her mouth still firmly shut and then sighed and opened it again "Fine, I didn't come back, happy?""

Eris' voice was ever-taunting, always mocking as she said, "Breaking the law? Really? I hadn't noticed. What're you going to do about it? Oh, wait! You can't! I'm off-limits!"
She laughed, a sound that was both grating and musical. Slightly off her rocker but loving every minute of it.
And then she saw the fangs and pouted. "Aw, I wish I'd thought of that. I could have lived forever and there never would have been peace! Well, at least I went out with a bang!"

Fern quickly squashes teh rather large desire to just snap Eris's neck and instead forces a nice smile onto her face... It hurts, but everything tends to hurt around Eris anyway... Luckily she can smile these days with her teeth slammed together in quite the painful way.
"Fine, nothing, I can't hurt you, I won't hurt you... Because if I hurt or kill you it's just be fueling chaos and by not hurting you I am fueling Justice!" This may not make sense, Justice rarely ever made sense when faced with Chaos... instead she is doomed to scowl and make little sense "how did you go out by the way? I didn't wait around to ask, I just celebrated."

Eris did another dance around Fern, smiling the whole time. "Either way I win, actually. If I live, I get to cause more mayhem. If I don't, then I'll still cause mass chaos going out." She stuck her tongue out at Fern and returned to her previous position. "Last time, I died on the battlefield. Both sides lost, too. Mass bloodshed, people running in all directions. Of course, I didn't expect someone to duck out of the way of a cannon. Got it right in the stomach."
She poked herself in the stomach and laughed. She had no hard feelings about it. She'd caused the cannon to go off prematurely. It was one of the risks for using her powers, to have it backfire on herself. Didn't bother her.
