"You like the earth?" And suddenly Laurel is grinning, wide eyed and happy at the prospect of somebody other then her finally respecting the earth, she had always been laughed at before or considered weak because she liked plants.
Hopefully here would be a... Fresh start of sorts.
"Nobody respects earth anymore, I mean in my old coven it was always fire this or water that... Nobody seemed to respect the earth!" That's Laurel, she gets into rants a lot when it's on a subject that interests her.

"Yeah!" Lily said excitedly. She crossed her legs underneath her and swiveled around to face her new friend. Yay. Finally someone who appreciated nature. "And then there's all those people who litter all over the place, or cut down healthy trees, trample over fragile plants because they don't car. All the polution. It really irks me. I could go on for hours. I can't tell you how many times I've gone through the parks here and felt them on the brink of dying out from everyone's blatant misuse. Ugh."

"I know! Laurel makes a face, it's one of those faces which she makes when she encounters meat products or people dumping stuff, unfortunately she can't do anything much about it apart from stage protests and complain, she isn't all that good with actually using violent means... Yet.
"Nobody respects mother earth anymore... They just burn her and gouge her and hurt her constantly."

Lily nodded, frowning. It was the same frown she got every time she was faced with another dying plant, or another cut down tree. The same one that whenever she had her moments of peace, just sitting out amongst the trees and she felt just another part of the earth dying because of man.
"Yeah," she said. "And there's only so much I can do at this point. It's tiring, but I've been known to get so angry with people, that I just can't help trying to fix it."
By that, she meant coming across a trampled flower and reviving it with her powers, or on the occasion, trying to regrow a cut down tree... only to have to take days because it was so much effort. One of these days, she really was going to have to figure out how to train her powers. She'd never be good for fighting, just healing. It had been the same way in her past life as well, even though she had enough power then to level a village, there was too much destruction in that and it just wasn't in her nature.

Laurel was nowhere near a old soul, though she had a lot of gentle qualities her current body was her first chance at life.
Which was rather a pity considering how alive the world had once been and how choked by anger, blood and pollution it currently was, Laurel loved the earth but hated the people who saw earth as only a platform for their more important needs.
But she could stand up for the earth with words, she wasn't the hard, tough and ready fighter type... She never would be, no matter what happened to her.
Still, she tried "Yeah, you can try so hard but you can only go so far before you become like those who are supposed to be your enemies, I still fight within limits though because the earth deserves our respect."

"Yeah, I totally agree," Lily said still frowning. "Unfortunately, no matter how hard we try, the idiots outnumber the tree huggers. And they tend to have more power than us. They don't realize that the continued abuse is going to one day be our downfall."
